Regulations on Air Travel
Due to the incident on December 25,2009 there has been heightened security measures in every airport worldwide. TSA issued this statement on December 27, 2009
 
"On Dec 25, 2009, an individual on board Northwest Airlines Flight 253 set off a device and was subdued by passengers and crew. TSA wishes to acknowledge the heroic efforts of those individuals. As a result of the incident, TSA has worked with airline and law enforcement authorities, as well as federal, state, local, and international partners to put additional security measures in place to ensure aviation security remain strong. Passengers traveling domestically and internationally to U.S. destinations may notice additional screening measures"

Security has been extremely tight with all departure coming back to the United States from abroad. You can expect additional security in all airports. Do not be alarmed if they do pat-downs and bag searches. This is just one of the extra security measures that is taking place. Passengers might have different instructions to follow during certain portions of their flight. Keep in mind time you have before a flight, with all these extra security checkpoints, TSA advises that international passengers, who are traveling back to the U.S. arrive an additional hour earlier.
We ask you to stay patient and be kind with security, and follow their instructions that they have set before you, and be an example to others.

3-1-1 on Carry-On’s 
Air travelers may now carry liquids, gels and aerosols in their carry-on bag when going through security checkpoints.
3- 3 ounce or smaller containers of liquid or gel (more than 3 ounces permitted in checked baggage ) container size is a security measure .
1-1 quart size clear plastic, zip -top bag holding 3 ounce or smaller containers. Bag limits total volume per person.
1-1 bag per traveler placed in the security bin. Isolating liquids speeds screening .
With certain exceptions for prescription and over-the-counter medicines, baby formula and breast milk, and other essential liquids, gels and aerosols, the following rules apply to all liquids, gels, and aerosols you want to carry through a security checkpoint.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three- ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each contatiner must be three ounces or smaller.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bags. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each travler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag form their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for x-ray screening. X-ray separately will allow TSA security officer to more easily examine the declared items.
Please keep in mind that theses rules were developed after extensive research and understanding of current threats. They are intended to help air travelers bring essential toiletries and other liquids, gels and aerosol for short trips. If you need larger amounts of liquids, gels and aerosols such as toothpaste or shampoo, please place them in your luggage and check them with your airline.
