Name: Agnes Nambi was born in 1932 (In jest, she stated at first that she was 150 years old); she raised 2 children (deceased) and 3 grandchildren are staying with her.  

Husband deceased: Her husband became blind and died in 2006 of high blood pressure. 

Testimony: Agnes is extremely thankful to God for care and provisions through Mission Link International (She thanks MLI "100xs" for provisions). She belongs to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She said she was born again early in life. However, a grandchild takes her to the Seventh-Day Adventist. She really wants to go to Itukulu Baptist Church.

Challenges: Sickness (High blood pressure, paralyzed legs, and sometimes dizziness) and basic needs. She lives in a borrowed home (living with someone) who needs her to move out. She has no land and no house.

Name: Kevin Nanangwe was born in 1940; she raised 2 children and living with 1 child and 6 grandchildren.  

Husband deceased: Her husband died in 1971 of Tuberculosis. 

Testimony: Thankful to God for widow leadership (Esther & Irene); grateful to God for salvation because before she was a Catholic and got saved 2017. Kevin now fellowships at Itukulu Baptist Church. She is thankful for provisons through Mission Link.

Challenges: He has land, but no house. She is living in someone's house, and they are getting tired of taking care of her. Basic needs and health issues are also challenges.

MIRABU KABONA -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Mirabu Kabona was born in 1966 and has 1 grandchild.

How Husband Died: In 2010 her husband died of diabetes.

Testimonial: Marabu belongs to a Seventh Day Adventist Church. We pray that God will reach her during the meetings widows have each month.

Challenges: Has ulcers and high blood pressure. House has a dirt floor, leaks when it rains with no electrical power. Mirabu's bedding in poor shape. She has a garden where she grows her own food. 

A water well is in walking distance of her home.

ELIZABETH NAKAYIMA -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Elizabeth Nakayima was born in 1935 and has no children.

How Husband Died: Husband died an abrupt death from hernia surgery in 1973

Testimonial: Elizabeth is thankful to God for the care and support Mission Link has given her. She also thanks God for the gift of salvation, and is a member of Itukuliu Baptist Church. Her pastor is Geoffrey Kadogo.

Challenges: Elizabeth stays alone at home with no caretaker. At times she finds it difficult to pay medical bills. She cannot see well and needs a source of light for her house.

MARY BABIRYE -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Mary Babirye was born in 1941 and has 4 children and 1 grandchild.

Husband deceased: Husband died of heart disease. He could not afford an operation and passed 40 years ago. 

Testimony: Mary attends an Anglican church (Church of Uganda). She confesses Jesus as her savior. 

Challenges: Water is at a distance, but her grandson volunteers to fetch water for a community borehole. She has pain in her legs, short on food, and needs bedding. She hopes to have a cement floor (presently dirt) and plaster on her walls sometime in the future. She is now too old to farm (grow her food).

Name: Miria Nabirye was born in 1944.

Husband deceased: Husband died in 2000 of unknown causes. 

Testimony: Miria has one child and 6 grandchildren. She declares her allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ--Born Again, though she is a Catholic.

Challenges: Her water source is nearby and has land for growing food. She does suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes and a painful back. She needs better bedding and to replace her dirt floor with cement.

Name: Margret Ndibulyawa Born in 1941-- 80 years old (does not know exact date); all 8 children deceased and she has 5 grandchildren living with her.

Husband deceased: Her husband died of Tuberculosis back in 2001

Testimony: Margret is thankful to God for every good thing from Him; God keeps her in both good and bad health, and she is thankful to God for provisons through Mission Link International (food, soap, beans, etc.) Margret is a Catholic. I thank God for all He has done for me.

Challenges: Health problems is back and joint pains; consequently, she can no longer do farming. She is living by the grace of God. Margret lives in an impoverished house. She has a borehole nearby that supplies water for her and the community. Borehole is close to her home, and the grandchildren fetch water for her.

Name: Jenipher Kyesubire was born December 26th, 1978; she has 8 children she is living with 5 of which are grandchildren.

Husband deceased: Her husband died of liver and lung infection March 11, 2011

Testimony: Jenipheris grateful for provisions given to her through Mission Link International at various times. She is not yet born again--Jenipher is a Seventh Day Adventist. She says that noe day she will be saved. (Pray for her)

Challenges: Leaking roof, cracked house, health needs, basic needs for family. She has difficulty providing school fees for the children. Presently, her children does not go to school due to lack of funds. She works in other people's garden to provide some support for her family.

IRENE KATONGOLA -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Irene Katongola was born April 8, 1963; she has 6 children and taking care of 7 grandchildren. She is living with a total of 11 children/grandchildren.

Husband deceased: Her husband died May 4, 2016 of throat cancer.

Testimony: Irene was born again in 2020 and fellowships at Itukulu Baptist Church. She states that she thanks God for his protection and provisions through Mission Link International. Right now Jesus is her husband who takes care her.

Challenges: Irene lacks some basic needs and educational needs for grandchildren.

Name: Josephine Bakita was born in 1971; She has 6 children and 4 grand children; the grandchildren are staying with her. 

Husband deceased: Her husband died of throat cancer in 2011.

Testimony: Josephine is thankful to God for the house she lives in she built through labor wages tending to other people’s gardens. I am grateful that I still have strength to still tend the gardens and thankful to God for provisons through Mission Link. She was born again in 2009 and fellowships at Itukulu Baptist Church.

Challenges: Josephine lacks some basic needs and funds to help with educational needs for her grandchildren.

CATHERINE NANKWANGO -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Catherine Nankwango was born in 1972; she has 4 children that are living with her and 1 grandchild. 

Husband deceased: Her husband died of a swollen stomach (not sure of the kind of sickness), on May 5, 2007.

Testimony: Catherine is thankful to God for salvation which occured after her husband's death; Also, she is greatful for God using Mission Link for the various provisons. She prays God to bless Mission Link! She fellowships at Deliverance Church, Itukulu. 

Challenges: Catherine has a house full of cracks, the floor is damp and holes where rats can enter. Due to her clan leasing off part of the land for sugar cane, she is left with a small plot not big enough for a garden. She lacks bedding and sleeps on a mat. She recently cut her fingers while harvesting sugar cane to earn funds. This is very difficult work!

EDITH NABIRYE -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Edith Nabirye was born October 8th, 1957; she raised 5 children (3 deceased) and 6 grandchildren stay with her.  

Husband deceased: Her husband died of intestinal failure after an operation in 1992.

Testimony: Edith is thankful to God for her house (she has a small permanent house) though husband left her in a grass thatched house. She is also thankful to God for the care and support through Mission Link (food, beans and soap). Edith is born again (2009) and fellowships at Itukulu Baptist Church.

Challenges: Edith lacks basic needs in her home & education fees for grandchildren. She would like a small land to enable her to farm.

LOVISA NABIRYO -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Lovisa Nabiryo was born in 1963; she raised 1 children and 6 grandchildren stay with her.  

Husband deceased: Her husband died of cancer in 2005.

Testimony: Lovisa is thankful to God for Mission Link for taking care of them spiritually and physically and always encouraging them in God’s Word. She is Catholic.

Challenges: She has general body sickness and no longer active in farming (backache, joints, high blood pressure). Lovisa has a leaking house and needs doors and windows for the house. Basic needs are school fees for the grandchildren.

NORAH TIBIRI -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Tibiri Norah was born in 1951. She  gave birth to 6 children and she cares for 3 grandchildren. 

Husband deceased: Her husband died in 2002. Tibiri believes her husband was "bewitched." Her husband use to see a demon and they were calling him home.

Testimony: Thankful to God for her life and protection. Tibiri is grateful for provisons through Mission Link International. She is Anglican, but not born again. She is confused, but Esther and Irene will be working with her. 

Challenges: To meet her needs, Tibiri labors by farming in other gardens. She also lacks school fees for grandchildren to go to school.

ZEULENCE NANGOBI -- IS ADOPTED

Name: Nangobi Zeulence was born in 1936. She  gave birth to 2 children having grandchildren living nearby.  

Husband deceased: Her husband died in 1988. He died abruptly. 

Testimony: Zeulence states she is born again belonging to the church of Uganda. 

Challenges: She has her own home and her grandchildren fetch her water from the local borehole. Feeding (food), medical issues and bedding are ongoing issues. She needs doors, windows and would love to have her walls plastered. The grandchildren work her garden for her.
